The Microteaching Test offers a secondary way of certifying ITAs' eligibility
to teach. The test consists of an five-minute presentation by the ITA
with two minutes for questions from a panel of undergraduates, an ITA Program
instructor and members of the department concerned. There is also a 3-minute extemporaneous response to a question about the definition of a term related to your field of study. The Microteaching Test is offered
on the last day of the Orientation and at the end of each semester. See
chart above for eligibility requirement.
Requirements: Versant (phone) test score of 57+ and must be current
(no more than 1-year old). If you have not taken an ITA class, there is
a $75 fee.
